Do Stebbings accept part exchange?

Yes we do. Either let us give you an instant exact valuation on site, and we will get back to you the same day during the week and will reply on Monday for valuations requested on a Saturday or Sunday.

Will my new car have a warranty?

Many of our cars still carry much of the original manufacturers’ warranty of up to 3 years. For those that don’t we will include a ‘5 Star Warranty’ included in the price.

Can I have my new car delivered?

Yes, of course. We will deliver to anywhere in mainland UK and the cost is negotiable at point of sale.

What will I need to bring with me when I collect my new car?

If  your new car is registered but without our finance you will need: insurance certificate (original or emailed direct from your insurance company, not faxed or copied).

If  your new car is registered but with our finance you will need: insurance certificate (original or emailed direct from your insurance company, not faxed or copied), driving licence (if new style, both sections required).

If you are purchasing a brand new unregistered vehicle you will need: driving licence (if new style, both sections required) or a current passport, insurance certificate (original or emailed direct from your insurance company, not faxed or copied) and a utility bill, showing proof of name and address, that is less than 90 days old.

If I am trading in my car for a new one do I need to bring any other documents?

As well the documents as listed above, you will also need to bring in your registration document (V5), your MOT certificate (if applicable) and the service history, and spare keys.

I have a private number plate on my car that I want to keep, what do I need to do?

We will arrange the transfer for you at a total cost of £115.00 which includes the DVLA transfer fee and a new set of quality number plates (excludes road fund licence).

You will need to bring in with you, from your old vehicle, the V5, MOT certificate (if applicable), your current road fund licence (we will photocopy this and let you have it straight back) and a newly issued cover note for the new vehicle you are buying.

What happens if my new car is stolen or becomes a write-off?

We would recommend that you take out GAP insurance. GAP Insurance covers the difference between what you owe on finance and the insurance settlement if your car is declared a write-off.

You can alternatively take out an RTI insurance. RTI insurance covers the difference between what you paid for the car and the insurance settlement if your car is declared a write-off.

How can I protect my new car and keep it looking new?

Stebbings is a fully authorised GardX Centre. GardX coats your car with a hard, high-gloss protective paint sealant and prevents UV rays, road salts, traffic film, acid rain, tree sap, insects  and other atmospheric pollutants from damaging your new car’s paintwork. Your upholstery and glass are also treated and the full treatment comes with a 5 year warranty.
